For those who are able to park in the rear parking area and around the circle, please do so leaving spaces directly in front of the Sanctuary available for those who need to park within a short walking distance

Responsibilities of the Worship Ministry Team include:
  • Works with the pastor to plan creative and innovative services of worship for our Christian community.
  • Encourages the pastor in his task of worship leadership and suggests new and meaningful changes in the worship experience which could be made to help keep worship at Rock fresh and innovative.
  • Pays particular attention to the Christian Seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost, encouraging special services during these seasons when appropriate. We have traditionally celebrated special services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Tenebrae, Palm Sunday, and Easter.
  • Oversees the music program of the church, meeting regularly with the choir director and organist to offer encouragement and praise, makes suggestions, and serves as a "sounding board" for the choir director and organist.
  • Organizes the serving of communion on the first Sunday of each even month and on special occasions such as Christmas Eve, World Communion Sunday and Maundy Thursday, Bread for Journey Prayer Services.
  • Works with the pastor to prepare for services of baptism.
  • Sound System-works with the Director of Music to ensure proper usage.
  • Schedules and orders flowers for worship services.  
  • Organizes the decoration of the Sanctuary for special services such as Easter and Christmas. 
  • Organizes ushers for worship services and assists in sending out quarterly letters to volunteers.
