Parking Request for worship services
For those who are able, please park in the rear parking area and around the circle in order to leave spaces directly in front of the sanctuary for those who need to park within a short walking distance.
Responsibilities of the Worship Ministry Team include:
Work with the pastor to plan creative and innovative services of worship for our Christian community
Encourage the pastor in his task of worship leadership and suggest new and meaningful changes in the worship experience which could be made to help keep worship at Rock fresh and innovative
Encourage special services during the Christian seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost, when appropriate. We have traditionally celebrated special services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Tenebrae, Palm Sunday, and Easter.
Oversee the music program of the church, meeting regularly with the choir director and organist to offer encouragement and praise, make suggestions, and serve as a "sounding board" for the choir director and organist
Organize the serving of communion on the first Sunday of each month and on special occasions such as Christmas Eve, World Communion Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Bread for the Journey services
Work with the pastor to prepare for baptisms
Sound System-work with the Director of Music to ensure proper usage
Schedule and order flowers for worship services
Organize the decoration of the sanctuary for special services such as Easter and Christmas
Organize ushers for worship services and assist in sending out quarterly letters to volunteers
